{Skirt: Banana Republic Outlet; Top: Banana Republic Outlet; Shoes: Kenneth Cole Reaction (last year)}

First of all, thank you so much for your kind words about yesterday’s No Fat Talk Tuesday post. I was SO encouraged and uplifted by the great dialogue and the comments that you all shared. You are all so truly amazing and inspiring in your own right. Now, let’s lighten things up, shall we?

My mom spent this past weekend with us, and we used part of our Saturday night to spend some time shopping the outlets that are 45 minutes from our house. Outlets are always hit-or-miss for me, but I can usually count on the Banana Republic outlet to have a few good finds that are much more reasonably priced.

I’ve been on the hunt for a knee-length pleated skirt for quite some time, and this weekend I hit the jackpot. I could hardly believe it when the clerk rang up this skirt and said it was only $20 (!!). So, if you live near a Banana Republic outlet, I would highly suggest checking out what they have to offer. (I was in no way paid by Banana Republic to say this, I just thought you should know.)

    Whoa, Madison…first, your blog looks amazing! I’ve been so busy that I haven’t been able to check my faves in a while. Second, love the outfit. Third, I’m so impressed with your courage to write with such honesty yesterday. There’s a lot of truth behind the saying, “Good things happen to good people.” :)
