1. A Great Run
I used to hate running, but I’ve taken it up this year as a new hobby. I’m sure a lot of it has to do with endorphins, but when I finish a run, whether 3 miles or 8, I feel strong, confident and beautiful. I can do anything! The feeling is amplified when I finish a race.
2. Painting My Nails
I find it really odd, but painting my nails can transform how I’m feeling. Even if I’m having a not so great day, it can give me a boost. It’s such a little thing, but it makes me feel beautiful. A trip to the salon for a professional manicure is even better, although I try to save it for special occasions.
3. Lover Lip Gloss from Victoria’s Secret
I picked this lip gloss up from Victoria’s Secret semi-annual sale a few years back on a whim, and it’s been my favorite ever since. It adds a bit of sparkle, but I still feel like I’m me. It’s my favorite accessory for a night out.
4. Spending Time with Family
In my opinion, you can’t spend enough time with family. The best part about spending time with my family? They always think you’re beautiful, you don’t have to have your makeup and hair perfect or have the cutest dress. They love you for you, no matter what.
5. Learning Something New
Learning a new skill gives me a glow. I get excited and intrigued, while being challenged at the same time. I’ve taken classes, workshops and taught myself a lot of different things since I graduated college, but I’m always in my element, and I feel secure and beautiful.
