Favorite Early Fall Old Navy Finds

August 29, 2016

Top: Old Navy Classic Chambray Shirt // Jeans: Madewell High Riser Skinny  //
Shoes: Coolway Open To Booties

While I love quality in my clothing for the most part, I have a fair number of pieces from Old Navy as well. Their clothes are trendy and adorable, and if you pick your pieces right, they can stand the test of time. You just need to know what you’re looking for. Over time I’ve found certain materials and styles from Old Navy just aren’t worth my time, while others are great values.

Their clothes for fall are SO good, you guys! From chambray tops that fit so well to fun, long-sleeved dresses, here are my favorite recent finds for fall.

Before having a baby, I had no idea how much I would enjoy dressing Miss Ainsley! I swore I wouldn’t be one of those moms who was obsessed with cute girly clothes but I’m totally eating my words. There are just so many adorable options. Our favorites stores for kids clothes are Gap Kids, Old Navy, Crazy 8 and the second hand store when we can score a few good deals on our favorite brand-name clothes. There is also a neighborhood-wide garage sale in our town where we scored a lot of cute finds this fall.

I’ve been on the hunt for a cute dress for Ainsley’s first birthday party and while browsing Gap Kids/Baby I was overwhelmed with all the cute options. I pulled together a list of my favorite items and linked to them below. I dare you to try and resist!

Dress_1I sort of wrote off Old Navy years ago because I had bad experiences with the quality and fit of their clothes. Everything felt a little, well, cheap. But lately you guys? Old Navy is giving me plenty of reasons to re-consider. I mentioned a while back that I was having a little bit of a style crisis now that I’m a mom. My new work-from-home schedule means I don’t have to be quite as dressed up each day, but I’ve found that putting myself together each day helps with productivity and puts my mind in the work mentality.

For me a great dress needs to hold it’s structure and wear well (even multiple times before washing) without bagging or looking sloppy. It also needs to be made of a material that’s thick enough to be flattering but stretch and give a little to work for mom life, running errands and sitting comfortably at a desk. This dress has it all. It’s incredibly affordable (it’s $18 right now!) and comes in a bunch of colors. I purchased this striped version and then went back and purchased it in black and grey as well because I love it so much! Plus, with the longer sleeves, I can see myself wearing it well into fall with tights and boots.

My Stitch Fix Story

August 29, 2013

It’s no surprise I love Stitch Fix, is it? I know, I sound like a broken record. But I’ve had so much fun with the service, so when the Stitch Fix team asked me if I wanted to be featured on their blog with four other of their favorite bloggers I jumped at the chance!

Of course, we all know that I’m not a fashion blogger, and sometimes I tend to fall into a bit of a rut with my style. I like what I know!  But being sent a box of cute clothes every month from different brands by a personal stylist has really helped to stretch me out of my comfort zone. Sometimes I get items that are totally my style (like this black top I’m wearing) and other times I get something a little bit crazy (like the high-low dress I got this summer) that I actually end up loving.

Want to read a little bit more about my Stitch Fix love story and be entered for a chance to win a $1,000 Stitch Fix credit? Of course you do! Check it all out HERE.

Haven’t tried Stitch Fix yet? If you can’t already tell, I highly recommend it. Sign up HERE.
